City of Mandeville Roadway Improvements

In July of 2011, Principal Engineering has just completed the first phase of a roadway improvement project for the City of Mandeville.  The project included the mill and overlay of city streets and the replacement of concrete panels city wide. 

Torres Park in St. Bernard Parish

In January of 2011, St. Bernard Parish Government awarded a contract to Principal Engineering to design and perform construction management services for major improvements to Torres Park to include two custom gazebos, boat and bait renal building, pond dredging, playground equipment, pedestrian bridge, boat pier, amusement feature (monkey hill), parking lot design, etc.

Greenwood Bridge Replacement Project Moves Forward

Construction of the Greenwood Bridge between Ridgefield Drive and Carrollwood Drive is scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 25, 2011 and scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer.  Gray Construction Corporation will be completing the Greenwood Bridge repairs, which is estimated to be a 90 day project.  Read the full article from St. John Parish at http://www.sjbparish.com/news_details.php?id=375

Country Club Bridge Replacement Project Wraps Up

Principal Engineering had recently completed the Country Club Drive Bridge Replacement project for St. John the Baptist Parish.  A ribbon cutting was held and the bridge was open to traffic.  The following link will take you to photographs of the bridge and ribbon cutting.  http://www.sjbparish.com/photos.php?pcid=50

The Country Club Bridge project, which was completed by Gray Construction Corporation of Morgan City, is nearing completion just in time for summer.  The bridge is scheduled for opening Monday, May 23, 2011, which is within the projected construction timeframe.  The $324,000 project funded by the 2009 Bond Issue involved installation of new concrete pilings, replacement of the old bridge with a new bridge and hand rails, and relocation and replacement of existing waterlines.

Completion of the Country Club Bridge allows the Parish to move forward with the Greenwood Bridge project that was delayed until the school year ended.  Read the full article from St. John Parish at http://www.sjbparish.com/news_details.php?id=375

LA 433 Roadway Improvement Project

In August of 2011, St. Tammany Parish has awarded a contract to Principal Engineering to provide construction management and inspection services for a roadway improvement project at LA 433 and Voter’s Road at the I-10 and LA 433 interchange area.

Boyd Gaming Corporation

In July of 2011, Principal Engineering was recently hired by Boyd Gaming Corporation of Nevada to provide engineering design and construction administration services for a 10 acre parking lot design project for the Treasure Chest Casino.

In June of 2011, the City of Slidell has awarded a contract to Principal Engineering to provide engineering design, construction administration and resident inspection services for a roadway and bridge improvement project.

City of Kenner

In May of 2011, Principal Engineering was recently selected by the City of Kenner to provide engineering design and construction administration services for a sewer pump station and force main infrastructrure rehabilitation project.

Principal Engineering Selected by the USACE

In May of 2011, Principal Engineering’s Team was selected by the USACE to perform Dam Inspections and Break Analysis nationwide.  The contract has been negotiated and awarded to the prime consultant.  Principal Engineering is a VOSB sub-consultant on the project team.  Principal Engineering will provide geotechnical engineers and hydraulic engineers to support the project team.

Official Engineer for the City of Mandeville

On Thursday night July 22nd, the Mandeville City Council has unanimously approved hiring Principal Engineering Inc. under a professional services contract as the new city engineer.  As the new city engineer, we will be responsible for designing and overseeing infrastructure projects in the city.
